Pentaco Construction Ltd are pleased to announce that they have secured the Pathology Environmental Cooling and Security contract at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn. The works involve the refurbishment and upgrade of the existing Pathology department over a 40 week period in 6 phases. David Sexton (Construction Director) commented – ‘this the second contract we have carried out for the Hospital Trust and are pleased to have secured this important project, we look forward to working with the Trust over the coming months’.
Lift off at the UEA. Pentaco Construction Ltd have been awarded the contract to install a new DDA compliant lift at the University of East Anglia. The design work has been carried out by local architects Feilden + Mawson and incorporates an exciting design of glass and bespoke sand cast aluminum cladding panels. The project commences at the end of August 2010 with a 16 week construction period.
Pentaco Construction Ltd have been awarded the contract to carry out urgent works to ensure the preservation of the redundant church of St. Mary the Less, Old Bury Road, Thetford which is a grade II* listed building, included on both English Heritages and the Norfolk County Councils registers of listed Buildings at Risk. Works will commence on the 23rd August 2010.

Pentaco Construction Ltd secures the first phase refurbishment of St. Edmunds House in Bury St. Edmunds. The project includes the upgrading of the existing flat roof with a liquid membrane, infilling of the existing roof lights, installation of new rainwater goods, installation of steelwork to accommodate new A.C. units, the replacement of the mansard roof coverings with Rheinzinc and the upgrading of the thermal insulation. Stripping off the high level rear façade vertical tiles and replacing with render finish. The replacement of all the existing windows. Minor alterations to the mechanical and electrical systems. The project was won in competitive tender and is the first with Indigo Commercial Properties Ltd.
Repeat business for Pentaco Construction Ltd. Pentaco Construction Ltd have been awarded the contract to refurbish six industrial units at Trafalgar Way, Bar Hill, Cambridge. The contract follows on from the successful completion of the refurbishment of three industrial buildings for the same client in 2009. David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘we are delighted to have been awarded this contract and are looking forward to working again with Coal Pension Properties Ltd’ The project commences on the 26th July 2010 for a 16 week period.
Ben Mitchell joins Pentaco Construction Ltd. Pentaco Construction Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Mitchell who joins the company in the position of Project Manager. Ben has spent the majority of his career working as a Project Manager for Oxbury & Co. Chartered Surveyors. His appointment further strengthens the existing management team and forms part of the sustainable way in which the company plans to grow in future years.
Coventry sales office lands on time. Pentaco Construction Ltd are pleased to announce the handover of the new sales headquarters for Volvo Group UK Ltd in Coventry. The site which is adjacent to Coventry Airport achieved completion on the 1st July 2010 and is now occupied by the local sales team. Steve Lucas (Lead Designer – Paul Robinson Partnership) commented ‘this was not an easy project to complete due to the tight timescales and the complexity of the build programme. The site team were extremely dedicated and pulled out all the stops to ensure the project completed on time and to the quality standards demanded by Volvo Group UK Ltd.

City College Norwich recently held VQ Employer Day Awards 2010 and we are pleased to announce Pentaco Construction Ltd was awarded the ‘Small Business Commitment to Learning Award’. Pentaco Construction Ltd have been awarded their third contract with The National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB). The project involves the refurbishment of their Headquarters in Cambridge. The works are due to commence in the next two weeks. David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘ We are extremely pleased to have won another project with NIAB which builds on the excellent relationship we have developed with this prestigious institution’.

Pentaco Construction Ltd has been awarded a contract to refurbish an existing laboratory facility for The National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) which is an independent, not-for-profit plant research and information centre based in Cambridge. The NIAB Group undertakes research and provides technical services and training to support the needs of farmers, allied industries, levy boards, research councils and government. The works will commence at the end of March 2010.
Pentaco Construction Ltd has been awarded a contract to refurbish and provide DDA accessibility to nineteen sheltered housing units for Victory Housing Trust. Victory Housing Trust (formally North Norfolk Housing Trust) is a registered provider of social housing which owns and manages over 4,700 properties in the North Norfolk area. Adrian Hubbard (Commercial Director) commented ‘We are exceptionally pleased to have been awarded this contract, the works will take place in premises occupied by vulnerable people and demonstrates the confidence that Victory Housing Trust have in Pentaco Construction Ltd to undertake such a sensitive project’
Pentaco Construction Ltd have finalised negotiations with Volvo Group Plc to refurbish their Truck & Bus Headquarters in Coventry. Works will commence shortly and are due to complete within a twelve week construction period. David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘This is the second project that Pentaco Construction Ltd have been awarded by Volvo Group Plc, negotiations commenced following the successful completion of the construction of a new wash bay in Croydon for Volvo Truck & Bus. We are extremely pleased that we have been chosen for this prestigious project’.
