Pentaco Construction Ltd has been awarded a contract to refurbish an existing laboratory facility for
The National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) which is an independent, not-for-profit plant research and information centre based in Cambridge.  The NIAB Group undertakes research and provides technical services and training to support the needs of farmers, allied industries, levy boards, research councils and government.  The works will commence at the end of March 2010. 

Pentaco Construction Ltd has been awarded a contract to refurbish and provide DDA accessibility to nineteen sheltered housing units for Victory Housing Trust. 
Victory Housing Trust (formally North Norfolk Housing Trust) is a registered provider of social housing which owns and manages over 4,700 properties in the North Norfolk area.  Adrian Hubbard (Commercial Director) commented ‘We are exceptionally pleased to have been awarded this contract, the works will take place in premises occupied by vulnerable people and demonstrates the confidence that Victory Housing Trust have in Pentaco Construction Ltd to undertake such a sensitive project’ 

Pentaco Construction Ltd have finalised negotiations with Volvo Group Plc to refurbish their Truck & Bus Headquarters in Coventry.  Works will commence shortly and are due to complete within a twelve week construction period.  David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘This is the second project that Pentaco Construction Ltd have been awarded by Volvo Group Plc, negotiations commenced following the successful completion of the construction of a new wash bay in Croydon for Volvo Truck & Bus.  We are extremely pleased that we have been chosen for this prestigious project’.

Pentaco Construction Ltd is pleased to announce that they have been appointed as Principle Contractor to construct seven industrial units in Kings Lynn.  The project was procured through competitive tender and final negotiations with the clients design team.  The project is due to commence in March 2010 with a six month construction period.  David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘we are delighted to have been awarded this contract, our team has worked closely with the client and his representatives over the past few months providing value engineering options to ensure the project achieved the clients budget expectations.  We now look forward to getting started on site!’

Pentaco Construction Ltd is proud to announce that it has been awarded ISO 14001 accreditation.  David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘we have been working towards this accreditation over the past 12 months, the notification that we have now achieved ISO 14001 is a tribute to our ongoing commitment to manage our business in a sustainable and responsible manner’.

Pentaco Construction Ltd has been awarded a contract to carry out alterations to The Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association’s headquarters at The Norfolk Show Ground.  This is first project Pentaco Construction Ltd has carried out for the R.N.A.A. and is delighted to be associated with such a prestigious organisation.

Pentaco Construction Ltd has been awarded the contract to construct a new extension to Bayfield Surgery in Docking, Norfolk.  The project was won in competitive tender and will be administered under a design and build contract with Chaplin Farrant Limited novated to the contract as design architects.  Works involve the construction of a new extension to the existing surgery with associated external works with new utility services connections.  Works commence on the 11th January 2010 with completion due within 32 weeks.
Representatives of Pentaco Construction Ltd were invited to attend the formal opening of The Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) by Baroness Gillian Shephard on Friday 11th December 2009 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn. Click here to read Viewpoint latest. Pentaco Construction Ltd were contracted to refurbish and upgrade the building, which was formally used as a workshop.  Baroness Shephard toured the unit meeting the staff who work there, prior to unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion.  Also in attendance were senior executives of the hospital and NHS Norfolk, the Mayor of West Norfolk Council, representatives of the suppliers, nursing and support staff.

Baroness Shephard said This is a fabulous facility and a tribute to the professionalism, intelligence and caring nature of the hospital staff. I am pleased to be here to open the

Pentaco Construction Ltd are pleased to announce that they have been awarded a £1.75 million contract to construct 14 new luxury apartments at Emery House in Bishops Stortford.  The project has been negotiated with the award winning development company ‘The Door’ based in London.  This is the second project Pentaco Construction Ltd have carried out for The Door, the first being a housing development in Great Hallingbury.  The works commence on the 30th November 2009 for a 52 week period. 

Pentaco Construction Ltd have recently commenced the construction of a new wash bay facility for Volvo in Croydon, south London.  The project was won in competitive tender and is due to complete early in the new year.  David Sexton (Construction Director) commented ‘ we were delighted to secure this contract with such a prestigious client as Volvo Group UK Ltd.  It demonstrates the manner in which the business has developed over the past few years and further strengthens our involvement within the commercial sector’ 

Pentaco Construction Ltd have just completed a project replacing failed cast iron drainage within the ‘Lion Yard’ shopping complex in Cambridge city centre.  The project was carried out during the night time whilst the stores were closed.  Close co-ordination was required between the centre management, the stores management and Pentaco Construction Ltd’s workforce to ensure the project kept to programme and finished within budget. 

Pentaco Construction Ltd are nearing the external refurbishment of Williams House, 19 Bank Plain, Norwich.  The works commenced on the 26th October 2009 and are being managed by Stiles Harold Williams property consultants in London.  Works involved the upgrading of the existing structure and additional perimeter security works. 

Pentaco Construction Ltd were pleased to support the ‘Build Norfolk’ annual event at County Hall, Norwich.  Sue Marshall-Nichols (Office Manager) commented ‘This is the second year we have exhibited at Build Norfolk an event we fully endorse and support, it allows us to meet new SME’s and to discuss our business requirements with them.  Since our involvement we have added various new businesses to our supply chain, many of which have subsequently received works orders from ourselves.  We are a people business and therefore are always keen to forge new relationships with good quality SME’s
