Pentaco Construction have successfully delivered the latest project at ARM Ltd’d global headquarters in Cambridge. The £1.2M project, carried out over a challenging 8 week programme was handed over on time and to budget. The works were carried out in a live environment and as ARM Ltd are a major worldwide technology business, handing over the project on time was crucial to them. The facility at Fulbourn, Cambridge is ARM’s research & develpment hub. The project, carried out over 3 strorey of the building, was procured under a JCT Intermediate Building Works Contract 2011 with Contractor’s Design, with the design portions including the mechanical and electrical installations.Further consideration was made withing the programme for liaising and intergrating the works of employer direct specialist contracractors responsible for IT equipment, audio/visual equipment and secuity access controls. The remaining scope of works incldued for demolition and strip out of internal partitions and doors; forming of new meeting rooms; new floor finishes; modifications to and replacement of existing ceilings; new tea stations; modifications to and replacement of raised access flooring including new floor boxes.
