Following a competitive tender process, Pentaco Construction has secured the contract to build the new fitness facility at the CSAC (Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Centre). The new gym will form part of a first floor extension over the current gym and changing area. The new gym will be more than double the size of the existing gym with over 50 separate exercise stations.
The plans also include doubling the size of the current free weight area by relocating it to the space where the existing gym is. The existing upstairs exercise class studio will also benefit from a complete refurbishment to enhance the experience of the popular exercise class programme.
The existing gym will remain fully open during the works which will commence on site on the 10th June and will be complete by the end of October 2013
